an award-winning neighborhood school located on the East Side of Saint
Paul. The school's academic program is based on the Project for
Academic Excellence (PAE) Design Model, which holds students, staff and
school administrators to high standards. All students are expected to
meet or exceed the academic standards for their grade level. The school
has teaching specialists in physical education, social studies
and science. A basic skills specialist provides
additional instruction for students needing additional help. Dayton's
Bluff Elementary also features a Book of the Month which builds
community through literacy.
Special Features: • A One Million Words Reading Parade is held every fall. Students pledge to read one million words during this event.

A variety of support services are provided through partnerships.
These services include mental and physical health services from the
Wilder Foundation and Children's Dental Service, housing and other
family supports from Eastside Family Center and a family literacy program from Metropolitan State University.
